1.부정사의 의미상 주어

(1). 부정사의 의미상 주어가 문장의 주어와 일치하는 경우엔 다음과 같습니다.
He hopes to forget his past. →그는 자신의 과거를 잊고 싶어한다.
to forget(잊다)의 주어는 문장의 주어인 he와 일치한다. 이와 같이 부정사의 의미상 주어가 그 문장의 주어와 일치하는 경우에는 특별히 의미상 주어를 밝힐 필요가 없습니다. 

(2). 의미상 주어를「for＋목적격」으로 나타내는 경우엔 다음과 같습니다.
부정사의 의미상 주어가 문장의 주어와 일치하지 않는 경우에는 부정사 앞에「for＋목적격」을 붙여 부정사의 의미상 주어를 나타내게 된다. 
It’s easy for me to read this book. →이 책을 읽는 것은 나에게는 쉽다.
It is difficult for him to finish the work in a week. →그가 일주일 안에 그 일을 끝마치기는 어렵다.
 
(3). 의미상 주어를「of＋목적격」으로 나타내는 경우엔 다음과 같습니다
부정사의 의미상 주어는 부정사 앞에「for＋목적격」의 형태로 나타내는 것이 원칙이지만 careful(조심스러운), kind(친절한), clever(영리한), wise(현명한), careless(부주의한), foolish, stupid(어리석은), nice(친절한, 좋은), polite(점잖은), cruel(잔인한) 등과 같이 사람의 성질을 나타내는 형용사가 쓰인 경우에는「of+목적어」의 형태로 부정사의 의미상 주어를 나타내게 됩니다. 

It was wise of you to refuse his offer. →당신이 그의 제안을 거절한 것은 현명했다.
It is very cruel of him to do such a thing. →그런 짓을 하다니 그는 아주 잔인하다.
How stupid of you to accept his offer! →그의 제안을 받아들이다니 당신은 얼마나 어리석은가!
It was careless of her to break the dishes. →접시를 깨뜨리다니 그녀는 조심성이 없었다.
How nice of you to say so! →그렇게 말씀해주시다니 친절도 하시군요!
It’s very kind of you to help me. →도와 주셔서 아주 감사합니다.
It’s foolish of him to say such a thing. →그런 말을 하다니 그는 어리석구나.
 
(4). 목적어가 부정사의 의미상 주어인 경우엔 다음과 같습니다.
「동사+목적어+to부정사」의 형태로 부정사가 목적격 보어로 쓰인 5형식의 문장에서 목적어는 to부정사의 의미상 주어가 됩니다.

I expect him to arrive here this evening. 
이 문장에서 him은 부정사 to arrive의 의미상 주어로서 이 문장은 I expect that he will arrive here this evening. (그가 오늘 저녁에 여기에 도착하리라 기대합니다.)라는 뜻이 됩니다. him to arrive, 즉,「목적어+to부정사」가「주어+술어」의 관계에 있음을 기억해야 합니다. 

He suggested me to jog for half an hour every morning. →그는 매일 아침 30분 간 조깅을 하라고 내게 제안했다.
He wants us to get to work on time. →그는 우리가 정시에 출근하기를 바란다.
I want you to join the club. →나는 당신이 그 클럽에 가입하기를 원한다.
The doctor got him to quit drinking. →의사는 그가 술을 끊도록 했다.
She asked me to be back before dark. →그녀는 나에게 어두워지기 전에 돌아와 달라고 했다.
My father asked me to wash the car. →아버지는 나에게 차를 세차해달라고 하셨다.
He told me to sit down. →그는 나에게 앉으라고 했다.
I advised him to start at once. →나는 그에게 즉시 출발하라고 권했다.
They allowed me to play outside. →그들은 내가 밖에 나가 놀도록 해 주었다.

원형 부정사

 to가 붙지 않은 to 없는 부정사를 원형부정사라 합니다. 
 
(1). 지각동사+목적어+원형부정사 
see, watch, hear, listen to, feel, smell 등의 지각동사의 목적 보어로는 to없는 원형부정사가 오게 됩니다. 

┌ I saw a thief break into his house. →나는 도둑이 그의 집에 칩입하는 것을 보았다.
├ I saw a beggar enter the hotel. →나는 거지가 호텔에 들어가는 것을 보았다.
└ We have never seen her smile. →우리는 그녀가 웃는 것을 본 적이 없다.
  
┌ I heard someone call my name. →나는 누군가가 내 이름을 부르는 것을 들었다.
├ I heard my sister cry in the room. →나는 내 여동생이 방안에서 우는 소리를 들었다.
├ Have you ever heard him sing a song? →그가 노래 부르는 것을 들어 본 적이 있습니까?
└ I heard a doorbell ring. →나는 초인종이 울리는 소리를 들었다.
  
We listened to the birds sing. →우리는 새들이 지저귀는 소리에 귀를 기울였다.
She was watching the crowd pass along the street. →그녀는 군중들이 거리를 지나가는 것을 보고 있었다.
I felt someone pull me by the sleeve. →나는 누가 내 소매를 끄는 것을 느꼈다.
※ 주의 : 지각동사가 쓰인 경우라 하더라도 수동태가 되면 to부정사를 쓰게 됩니다. 

┌ I saw a beggar enter the hotel.  →거지 한 명이 호텔로 들어가는 것이 목격되었다. 
└ A beggar was seen to enter the hotel. →거지 한 명이 호텔로 들어가는 것이 목격되었다.

(2). 사역동사+목적어+원형부정사
「~시키다, ~하게 하다」라는 let, make, have, bid 등의 사역동사의 목적 보어로는 to없는 원형부정사가 쓰이게 됩니다. 

┌ Let me introduce some other friends to you. →당신에게 다른 친구들을 소개하겠습니다.
└ Let me know what you are thinking of. →당신이 생각하고 있는 것을 알려 주세요.
  
┌ I made the children laugh. →나는 아이들을 웃겼다.
├ It makes me feel good to help others. →다른 사람들을 도우면 나는 기분이 좋아진다.
├ His father made him go to bed. →그의 아버지는 그가 잠자리에 들도록 했다.
└ I made them understand the situation. →나는 그들에게 상황을 이해시켰다.
  
┌ I had him row the boat. →나는 그에게 배를 젓도록 시켰다.
└ She had Mary wash the dishes. →그녀는 메리에게 접시를 닦으라고 시켰다.
  
※ 주의: 사역동사의 경우도 수동태가 되면 to부정사를 쓰게 됩니다.   
┌ I made them understand the situation.→그들은 상황을 이해하게 되었다.
└ They were made to understand the situation. →그들은 상황을 이해하게 되었다.

All of the public in the United States of America must learn about programming. That's because it would provide us to think logically. It is like going on studying law at law school, and everyone learns how to think, even if they don't become lawyers. Programming would a little different from above, but it also delivers us the way of thinking. I think computer programming is adopted as liberal arts such as art and history, so everyone should study for at least a year.

I also expect to get logical thinking and problem-solving power by learning it.

In the close future, it will be wise of people to learn any such programming language as Javascript, C++, C#, Java because a lot of corporation which has gone on recruiting expect appliers to have much coding skills when they get in.  Learning it and coding is just a means of achieving the goal of programming. The goal of it is to solve a problem on the network, hardware, software, and it is to find a solution to the problem.
